Jupiter’s Moons Mutual Events
October 18, 2009
In addition to the regular passage of the Galilian Moons in front of Jupter and into Jupiter’s shadow, the mooms will be passing in front of each other and casting their shadow onto the other moons. Most of the time they will be partial eclipse, where only a fractor of the shadow falls on another moon. Same for the occultations. They will challenge your observing skills, espescially when seeing conditions are poor. Have a try at it anyway, you my be surprised by what can be seen.
